Dear Herman,
I myself prefer not to have nuts, as they
may have more fat than Dr. E advises,(considering if
you eat many of them).
I am a food addict and when I buy nuts I tend to eat
the whole package in just one day... so I don´t buy
them anymore. I have diagnostics of heart disease due
to plaques. So I prefer to play it safer, following
Dr. E diets as possible. (Dr. E was the first light
for me that I could lower B.P. and possible get
partially rid of heart plaques, so I prefer to have
faith on his advises). I got rid of medicines for B.P.
but need more tests to see how are plaques doing.
I am not a doctor so I cannot give health advises but
I understood that you are a lucky one that is just on
this diet as a preventive measure. If nuts are
important to you why don´t you have a scan test so you
may find out with you doctor guidance how much plaques
you have and then make a better decision?
I wish you well and good to have you here in this Dr.
Pinckney´s forum.
