The amount of soluble fiber in rice bran and/or wheat bran isn't enough to make a very large dent in cholesterol reduction. You'd have to eat huge quantities of either one. But your question about pumpkin seeds leads me to think that you're not aware how much fat is in nuts and seeds, and that you may need to look at reducing fat consumption. A very low fat plant-based diet and regular daily aerobic exercise (walking, swimming, etc. for at least a half hour without stopping, may be the best non-medication path to getting lipids under control.
