Hi Ricardo,
Thanks for your kind words and the detailed explanation.
Since my last email, I got my lab results back from the MD and they are as follows:
hdl 61, ldl 81 , trigy 140
after 6.5+ years of Dr E pgm, I am pleased.
Interestingly, in 12/2007 my numbers were
hdl 53, ldl 79, trigy 134
and was surprised there was a change up, albeit slight, even though extraordinarily compliant.
Also just came back from my annual retinal exam from my opthalmologic surgeon, and he was extremely pleased with the health of my eyes and my overall fitness. I had a 50 percent detachment 29 yrs ago, and my vision now is great. Ironically, it was a retinal scare in my other eye 6.5 plus years ago which resulted in slight retinal tearing which prompted me to go VLF and in the process go from 325 lbs to 181 lbs. Obviously all good for circulatory system health.
I am taking a stress test Fri and I'll update when I have results.
It is important that we share our experience so others can see long term effects of the pgm.
Good luck Ricardo! I agree about the calcium scan and decided after reading several sources, including Dr Nissan from the Cleveland Clinic, that I am not taking one as I planed.
Best,
herman
