I had high BP and after going Vegan (reading material from Dr. Esselstyn from his site wwww.heartattackfree.com), I went just plant based food and VLF - Very low fat. And also exercising as Dr. Pinckney says: 30 to 40 minutes of briskly walking, my BP went down after loosing about 30 pounds. That is easy, the food is delicious and the exercise lets me think about my achievents while I walk.

The best part is to get rid of high BP, reduce my sinus pains (that is due to reduced gastric reflux when eating healthy food), reduced digestion problems, less back pain and my main objective: to reduce cholesterol (it came down from 200 to less that 100, but with the help also of statins).

PS afterthis diet and exercises and quite few months, my doctor suggested to stop with pills for high BP. My BP that was 14 X9 came to about 11.5 X 6.5 when I stop taking medicine for BP. BP without medicine went up just to 12 X 8.
