Dear Dr. Pinckney,
1) Reading one of the books of Dr. Ornish I understood that white beans should have much more proteins than other colors of beans. One cup would have 124 g of proteins, versus just double digits of proteins of the other beans.
As I am looking to optimize my proteins intake my questions for you are: is that right? How many grams of proteins do you advise for daily needs? Could White Beans be a solution? Should it be prepared boiled? If in powder could it be toxic? What is your opinion on how to prepare the right form to get the best results with white beans?.
2) Please comment on phaseolamine, name of the protein that is also found in white beans and if it really inhibits the process of digestion of carbs/sugars and if it is true that it is best in the form of extract(if this is the case: how to prepare the extract?)
