Falling off the wagon for single meal on rare occasions won't 'undo' the benefits of ten weeks of a reversal diet and exercise, but it can be dangerous.
Studies have shown that for people with a history of coronary artery disease, a single high fat meal can be the trigger for a cardiac event.
'Feeling sick' is a natural consequence. Bile stored in the gall bladder helps break down the fat one eats so it can be digested. After a period of low fat eating, not as much is needed, so less is stored. Then, when a high fat meal is consumed, the fat can't be easily metabolized and discomfort - sometimes severe pain - can result.
Congratulations on your impressive successes in just ten weeks. As time passes it should get easier to resist the temptations of those special occasions.
