Rima, about the need to establish a liver enzyme baseline, I bet that you already had that measured many times, as it is a very common procedure in blood tests to check if liver is functioning OK. It is a way to kow if a person has had his liver hurt by hepatitis or other illness, or alcohol. The tests are ordered as a normal routine by DOCs in periodic medical exams. Just see in your records the letters AST or SGOT normal between 1 and 45, ALT or SGPT normal 1 - 50 and GGT liver enzime normal 8 - 62, but allways call your Doc to be shure of all the above.
