Made the same mistake as you. Label said zero grams of fat - Trader
Joe.
Esselstyn's recipe for hummus (which has its own fat) says add
mustard. But a cup plus a day of hummus, including twenty five
percent mustard is NOT ON.
Lessons -
1. Labels 'lie.' <0.5 grams of fat can be labeled 'zero.' x 10 servings =
NOT good.
2. Being an idiot doesn't work (I speak for myself).
(ie thinking that anything that so easily bypassed the 'denial' of no
butter, NO margarine, so easily, was without a 'gotcha' catch).
3. To quote Homer Simpson 'DOH.'
Another lesson learned on the great adventure that is Ann Esselstyn's
diet. From Caldwell E's book - Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease - #1
reference, imo.
