I can only answer anecdotally, as I'm not aware of conclusive research on this.
If you've read my story in the Healthy Heart Handbook (see link below), you'll know that I had 100%, 90% and 85% blockages and reversed them with diet and exercise more than 15 years ago.
I do weight training three times a week and there has been no negative effect on my coronary arteries. In fact, circulation improved after I started weight training.
I have met reversal program patients who have been doing weight training for more than 30 years since their heart attack, and they are thriving.
Heart disease patients should always consult with their physician before undertaking any exercise program.
