Hi Folks, I have had MI 16 months ago, Since then I have built myself up to the point I regularly run for 2-3 miles and lately have started weight training twice a week. Does anyone know if there is any down side of weight training for those of us who have had MI? I don't do heavy weight training but would put it at moderate. I have read somewhere that weight can put pressure on your arteries. Anyone with cardiac episodes have been lifting weight? I think it will be good to add weight training once or twice a week, push ups to tone the body and gain the muscle mass. Please let me know your thoughts.
