I'm always happy to hear that this discussion board (and the Healing Heart Foundation website) has helped people.

But the question you're asking is something your physician would best answer.

The guidelines we cite are for healthy people who are reversing coronary artery disease and have no other medical considerations. Those with other conditions should follow a physician's advice.

Any aerobic exercise has cardiovascular benefits. Sessions that last at least 15 minutes and raise the heart rate are most effective in reversing heart disease. But the target heart rate needs to be determined taking one's total physical situation into account.
