It is true that the crowd who like to keep their caloric protein at 10%maximum,choose not to eat legumes or many nuts either. And that is certainly OK in my opinion,as neither legumes or nuts necessary for optimum protein needs. I used to never eat legumes but now eat them almost daily,and I haven't felt any different because of it....the only exception to a no legume vegan diet would be in cases of kidney and/or liver disease. IMO.
