There realy is no 'average' or 'normal' rate for all people. Each person has their own individual average, which is affected by age, gender, physical condition, medical conditions, medications, typical activity level, and even diet.

One ideally establishes a base line, taking an average of five or more days, before taking medications that effect it.

If you have been seen in a medical office with any regularity, they may have a record of your pulse for some visits, which you could average and have a fairly good estimate of your heart rate before you started the medication.
