Thank you Dr. Pickney, Dennis and Gary. It's really hard to see people who you've known many years deteriorate before your eyes. Especially when you know what is causing their problem, and can't convince them to change their lifestyle. There are several people I know who swear by chelation therapy and I was hoping it might be a viable alternative to mainstream medicine, which isn't really doing my relative(s) any good, since I can't convince them to change their eating habits. But at best I know it's, at best, an alternative treatment of minimum effect on the symptoms of poor lifestyle, and at worst, outright quackery. As the old saying goes: "There's no free lunch", meaning no easy cures. You have to want to do the research and work at the lifestyle changes it will take to assure your own health. Thanks again.
