I just turned 35 and they were 1800 with cholesterol in the 240's. I think that I inherited this cause I have sisters with hi cholesterol. I'm taking 500mg of Gemfibrozol and fish oil. The Dr prescribed Niacin in a high dose, but it made me feel flushed (like a real bad sunburn)so I stopped taking it. It supposed to help, so you might want to look into this. I go back later this month to see where I'm at. I also have been exercising (walking 30min every other day). Reading more and more about this I just don't want to give up the food I eat, although I have cut back. I really want to see what combination works. The exercise or the diet, somehow I think it will be both.
