I have a 10 year old son with his triglycerides at 215. In the last 12 months, he has gained 18 lbs and grew 5 1/2 inches. No one else in the immediate family has any blood problems. We all eat the same foods. His exercie level hasn't changed at all in the last 12 months. He plays baseball year round and swims competitively during the summer. What other tests should I consider having done to find out why his weight and triglyceride are on the rise?
