Dr. Pinckney, Without a doubt, your last reply to my post re medication and the improved quality of your coronary arteries, gives a lot of hope to others and myself, who need to follow you as a role model for overcoming the blockages in our coronary arteries and improving the quality of our lives. I take great comfort in the belief that there is someone out there, like a beacon, that we can look up to, who can pilot us through the rough seas we are now encountering. Perhaps,in your next retreat with Dr.Ornish and others, some videos can be produced of people with different degrees of blockages and at different stages of reversal; and for them to explain what went wrong in their lives to cause these; what triggered the problem to alert them to their condition and what individual changes they made in their lives in terms of food, exercise and stress management; what improvements were made over time with changes in blood vessels performance; what medication and supplements were used over time; and what dramatic and subtle changes occurred over time to make them feel confident that they are now absolutely in control and can manage their condition. If these people can volunteer to offer their helpful advice and encouragment and can be contacted peronally , this will be a wonderful way to assist those who have just been diagnosed with coronary artery blockages. I find that most people and myself included just wanted guidance and to hear from the experiences of others who have overcome this disease. Perhaps too a panel of doctors associated with the Ornish Organization can on the Web,give helpful advices on the next and following steps to take,as as person gives a report card on their progress, but needs confirmation and encouragement on the way forward. But certainly not to give medical recommendation which will be made by their doctor. There is the dire need, I am convinced, for those, like me, who are following the Ornish program to have someone or some group to whom they can report their progress. They are not always near to a participating program with trained experts, and quite a lot of them will be in far off countries where such services are non existent and feel alone as they go through this serious disease. I shall be eternally grateful for the invaluable help you have been to me in these last two days in particular, though all your posts relative to coronary heart disease have held my interest. They were not like excerps from a book, but rather from an experienced participant in a hugh problem that afflicts so many of us. Yours is the living, breathing person at the other end of the internet and you are concerned. Again, my deepest appreciation. Kindest personal regards,
