To all who have posted here: Also, if anyone who has never had a seizure before and has been taking Lipitor-- and has suddenly had a seizure-- please write! Thank you and good luck, and MAKE your drs. pay attention!

PLEASE, please GET OFF OF LIPITOR! Last Friday, my husband, who has been healthy his entire life, but has been on Lipitor for almost a year (20 mg.) had a grand mal seizure at the dinner table. There is NO history of epilepsy in his family. Meanwhile, the drs. suddenly seemed very concerned because of his MUSCLE ENZYMES, something they measure from the blood after one has a seizure. IT IS ALSO SOMETHING THAT IS MEASURED TO MAKE CERTAIN THAT STATIN DRUGS ARE NOT CAUSING SERIIOUS SIDE EFFECTS. Please check out this link and see that, while Lipitor and the other STATIN drugs have not been recalled, THEY ARE STILL IN THE SAME CATEGORY as Baycol, the drug that has caused 71 deaths.
