I have taken Lipitor for about two years to lower my cholesterol, and this helped to reduce my level from 325 to 210. However, over the past two months I began to experience increasing joint stiffness and pain. Finally, this became so debilitating that I could not walk, and suffered Level 10 pain! I have been dianosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica, which responds almost immediately to prednisone -- and taken off Lipitor. I advise anyone experiencing these problems to check out PMR. It is a bad hombre, believe me.
