I am a 54 year old very active (use to be, before taking Liptor). I swim 1000 meters daily and since my doseage has been increased from 10 mg to 20 mg I have noticed problems. The shoulder aches, and ankles aches and lack of strength is really getting me down. My doctor says it is not the Lipitor. I know my own body, I have cut back to the 10 mg level and will see how I feel after a couple of weeks. The last 18 months I have felt like an old man with all kinds of aches and pains that I never had before and the lack of strength in my leggs worrys me. I may try to find a new doctor that is more sensitive to my concerns, up to two years ago I never went to a doctor and felt fantastic, now I got good normal numbers but feel tired and weak. I too know the difference from muscle aches from a good workout and this tired and crampy feel.
