I have been taking lipitor 10mg since Nov 96 right after having a quadruple by-pass operation. I will be 77 in Nov but have been experienced extreme pain and discomfort mostly in my right leg for about the last 5/6 months. I mentioned it to my Cardologist on the last two visits, but he did not seem to indicate it was the medication. Meantime,my cholesterol is presently 146 and my LDLs 73, so I am very happy with those results. Also,I have been doing some leg exercises recently and the pain while uncomfortable is bearable. Question: Should I stop taking the lipitor and watch my diet closely avoiding cholesterol raising foods?
