Reversal of plaque starts almost immediately following lifestyle changes, and continues as long as they are maintained. In my support groups, most people with debilitating angina found they were able to resume most activities in just a few weeks.
There's no way one can predict the rate of reversal in any individual. In my own case, I went from 100% blockage in the right main coronary artery and not being able to walk a few houses away without having to sit down on the street in severe pain - to finishing in the middle of the pack of the Great Aloha Run, an 8.2 mile race, just seven months later.
