palpitations: I also have had heart rhythm problems. Tachacardia is unually caused by an electrical malfunction in the heart. Beta blockers are fairly effective, for all but the most profound cases. Surgical ablation can be used in profound cases to kill off the contradictory electrical source and thereby restore normal rhythm. I would like to get off the Beta Blockers but don't want surgery. Checked this web site for possible vegan solutions, but there appears to be none. Stress and stimulants such as coffee can exacerbate "attacks" of heart arhythmia. Want to avoid chocolate as well, because of the caffine. Body builders, watch out for weight loss stimulators, which may contain dangerous stimulants for those with heart rhythm problems. Love to all...
