The Glycemic Index of Carbohydrates does not agree with your advice about whole grains lowering tryglicerides. White bread and whole wheat bread both have a Glycmeic Index of over 80%, as does rice white or brown, most breakfast cereals (exception slow cook oatmeal), potato and corn. The only fruits which share these high numbers (and may be avoided) are banana, raisin, apricot, papaya, mango, all other fruit is safe.
The fiber in whole wheat, and brown rice is serving a valuable function, but it is not changing the rapid production and entry of sugar into the blood, which often increases tryglicerides.
I hope you will confirm the (starchy) complex carbohydrates should be eaten lightly with a balanced diet, or they DO "typically raise tryglicerides".
