I am 53 yrs old. I have had this problem for years. I had palpitations of 300-400 bpm for 24 hours once, with many others. I went to emergency and they gave me a shot of Calan SR. and I slept for quite a long time. What kind of tachacardia is it that wakes you up in the middle of the night and your beats are that fast? What is Calan Sr., Quinidine and Xanax all given at the same time usually for? Thanks.
