I recently had a chloresterol test. This is what they gave me.

GLUCOSE - 96
CHOLESTEROL - 326
TRIGLYCERIDE - 286
HDL CHOLESTEROL - 67
VLDL - 57
LDL CALCULATED - 202
CHOL/HCL RATIO - 4.9
LDL/HDL RATIO - 3.0
HEMOGLOBIN - 14.5
HEMATOCRIT - 43.5

I know that these are high and I went to my person physician where he reran the tests and also checked my liver. He prescribed Zecor and I started having numbness in the hands, aches and pains and extremely vivid dreams. He took me off of Zecor, reran some test for muscle breakdown (came back no damage). I have read some articles on Zecor and do not like what I read. I went to the health food store and bought Red Yeast and Flaxseed Oil. I have changed my eating habits and diet. I am also starting to exercise to lose weight.

Now to my question...am I on the right path? Is there something else I should be taking? When do I get a recheck done? I am a female, 48 years old, 5'2", 180 pounds.
