Before I learned I had very serious heart disease, I ate a typical omnivore diet, but I had cut down on eggs to only one a week (with baconm or sausage and hash browns, of course). I was a 'cheese-aholic', consuming at least a couple of ounces of cheese every day, often much more. And those extra cheese pepperoni pizzas, potato chips, pastries and much more. But I had read the articles in the Sunday magazines and always used margarine instead of butter. It almost killed me.
A did about 100 push ups every day. That's all the exercise I got. I'd drive around the parking lot at the mall for 15 minutes until I found a space close to the entrance. Now I park far away, often under a shade tree and never get my car dented from those too-close doors slamming me.
And I was stressing myself as a news junkie, regularly watching network TV news and CNN. I've been on a 'news-fast' for almost eight years now, don't watch any TV news, and my stress level is down to zero.
Congratulations on your new waist size. Keep on truckin', it may even get smaller. My waistline went from 40 to 31. Thanks for sharing your success; hearing about others' reversals is always helpful for those who wonder if this works.
