Hi Dr. Pinckney,
Thank you for your information. I am actually on Atenolol, which has helped a lot. I am however not too enthusiastic about taking a beta blocker. I am hoping that as I am able to work back up to my previous exercise state the arrhythmias will decrease or go away. I don't have the typical high BP, and it is only high when I am having the tachyarrhythmias, other wise my normal is about 100/60. I've had an EKG while at my 166 rate, a halter monitor and an echo, nothing abnormal on any of those test. So essentially I know this is metabolic, of what cause I am not sure. I have increased my vegetable intake, dercreased and balanced out my protien and carbohydrate intake. I know I was consumming way too much carbs. This has helped to decrease the chest pressure and the bouts of tachyness.
:o)
