I'm not aware of any direct relationship between glucose intolerance and tachyarrhythmia (tachycardia). Your physician might be able to tell you if something in your system is related to both disorders.
There are many different types of tachyarrhythmias, so it would be up to your physician to prescribe the appropriate medication for your case.
One of the most potent medications, Amiodarione = "Cordarone", also acts as a beta blocker and a calcium channel blocker, but it has significant side effects. If you are using this, you want to discuss alternatives with your doctor.
Most beta blockers are well tolerated. They have received a lot of bad press, and I believe that many people who experience fatigue and other reported effects may be influenced by what they've been told to expect, perhaps even more than that which the medication may cause.
I've been working with over 200 people on beta blockers, and only one has reported any serious negative side-effects.
