My mother has high cholestoral, and she is taking Lipitor. After a long period of time and gradual increases in doses, her cholestoral is finally down to 150, but her triglycerates is still 505. She is eating the allowed foods with this medical problem. Why could it be that it is so hard to correct her cholestorol count and why is her triglycerates so high. I'm really worried about the effects on her health. Thank you for any advice.
