Your point is well taken, Parker. As tempted as I am to agree with you that it is healthier, I have to say instead a pox on both of their houses.
My position is that both diets have inherent flaws that are too great to overcome.
It kills me that people want to run around like chickens with their heads cut off looking for the "ideal diet." What they are REALLY looking for, IMHO, is an easy way to do what seems the most difficult things in the world: eat sensibly and exercise.
I have discovered in my nearly 59 years on this planet that there is only one way to lose weight and feel great all the time; cut down on the overall number of calories consumed, use portion control, and exercise.
