Your Esselstyn book also details 18 people who had 48 cardiac events in the previous year who adopted very low fat diets and 12 years later they were ALL still alive. Are you just looking for reassurance that your effort is worth it, or are looking for an excuse to go back to high fat foods? The VLF diet is your single best way to assure you will be here next year. Don't think about what you can't eat. Focus on what you can eat, what you like and make sure you have lots of it on hand and that you eat before you go out to places where there will be lots of High fat foods to tempt you. Stay with it.
