Soy beans are nutritious but they have about 70% calories from fat. Not anywhere near low fat.

one half cup of soybeans contains the following:
(in the following order)     Cal     Pro     CHO     Fat
Mature(yellow), cooked   149     14.3     8.5     7.7     (86 g)
Green (edamame)           127     11.1     10.0     5.8     (90 g)

Some soy products are made with soy that has had the fat removed, such as TVP (textured soy protein), 'Lite" tofu and defatted soy flour,
