Coming from a mathematical background, I often wonder about these studies and the results that are drawn from them. From what I read, the low fat group (29%) was given "Sessions" and "Conseling" and then sent home. They keep a diary or reported back in some way what they ate so that the percentage of fat could be determined. I'm assuming that most people are like me in that if they go off the wagon, they will have a tendency of not saying anything and trying harder the next time.
