I have tried several commercial natural deodorants and didn't like any of them. With each of them, I didn't smell very nice after a workout or even after vigorously cleaning the house. My mom recommended I try plain baking soda. I apply about 1 teaspoon to each underarm, standing in the bath tub so I don't make a mess. (Once applied it doesn't leave white residue on clothing, at least that's been my experience.) I use it once in the morning and I have NO odor at all even at the end of the day after gardening, housework, exercise, etc. in a house where I keep the thermostat at 80 degrees in the summer. I asked my husband and he said since I've been using baking soda he couldn't smell any odor on me either. It's very simple and effective and extremely inexpensive.
