I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. Very cold -35. This spring will be the second year of growing asperagus. But last fall I did not cut down the stalks. Should I cut them down first thing in spring, and will this alter the growth pattern? Thank you ahead for answering my question. I sure would hate to loose them.
