how long should I let rabbit droppings age before adding them to a compost pile?

We have 3 bunnies and I have their cages filled with hay. We save the hay and their droppings because we are beginning a vermicomposting bin with red worms. I have read that you should let droppings age before adding them to your compost, but have yet to find out just how long to age them. Can anyone give me information on this? Thanks in advance!!
