Sorry to get back to you at this late date, but worms are good for lawns and especially gardens. Maybe you mean some other long thing. Most bugs in a lawn or garden where no chemicals have been used are good bugs.

I have a stand of raspberries that have wasps and other bad-sounding bugs that are really beneficial. They are mainly interested in the plants and seem to have little interest in me (thankgoodness).
