I grow blueberries and was told by the man who sold me the bushes to use Mir-Acid on them. (I think that is Miracle Gro with an acidic pH.) However before I did that I checked with my county extention office and my local nursey and they both said I should not use that on my blueberry bushes. Both sources told me that that product is too high in salts and that it could even eventually kill my blueberry plants. I was told to acidify my soil by using agricultural sulfur, which is cheap and very easy to use. Both the county extention office and the nursey told me to use commerical fertilzer but as I grow my food plants organically I have been using my own home made vegan compost. I also use liquid seaweed fertilzer regularly during the growing season. The bushes are all healthy and I got quarts and quarts of wonderful blueberries this year. I had three bushes last year and planted six more this past spring.

I assume someone wrned you that birds like blueberries. I net mine as soon as the bushes set fruit and leave the netting up until after I have harvested the last of the fruit.

Good luck to you.
