since there were no WMD's, Iraq never attacked or threatened a U.S. citizen pre-Gulf War I, Bush's treasury department was helping subvert the oil-for-food program, troops have already stayed far longer than GOP pre-war estimates, there are thousands of dead and injured soldiers and civilians, the cost of the war far exceeds what Bush first presented to Congress and Bush refused to allow the cost of rebuilding Iraq to be repaid by loans (making our tax dollars a gift), I'd say that no matter what happens in the next 18 months the war has been a failure. The doctrine of preemptive attacks is irrefutably a failure. The republicans will be seen as big-government sheep who ignore facts. Bush will remain an incompetant. The Dems will win a presidential term by land slide in 2008 and win a majority in the house and senate. By the way, Where in the world is Osama? Even Putin and a ramshackle Russian government was able to get their Number 1 terrorist nemesis. How come Bush, leader of the world's only superpower, can't get it done? Because, he is, without a doubt, the worst president in the history of the USA.
