I think that Huckabee had said that the money would have been better spent on public works projects (roads, bridges, sewage treatment plants).

1. That would have kept all the money in the United States instead of it being used to buy more Chinese imports.

2. It would have been a legitimate role of the government.

3. We would have had something to show for the money after it had been spent.

I did enjoy this little snippet:

"EL PASO, Texas (CNN) – For the second election night in a row, Hillary Clinton failed to acknowledge or congratulate Barack Obama after he won the day in dominating fashion". Hah!!!
