Bush with all the republicans and democrats, simply wrote a check for $158 billion and and just gave it away. They call it "economic stimulus", or a tax rebate. They are giving it away while at the same time the government is running a $250 billion deficit. This makes no sense. Conservatives are supposed to be against "government handouts", yet no one says a word when Bush hands out $158 billion. The republicans would have screamed in fury if a democratic president had given away money like that.
