Because the don't have to pay for health insurance, and the cost for it via taxes is significantly less than from the so-called "free market" (read: republican ripoff corporations). So while they pay more taxes, they're actually saving money over lower taxes and (much) higher health care insurance and medical costs.

But then they don't let voodoo "Christianity" enter into their politics, or rightwing neocon terror attacks, like 9/11.
