But the GOP cloaks itself in "morals" and "values" which translates to hating gays, Mexicans, blacks and a woman's right to choose. They whip people up like the Nazis did, using immigration as a bogus enemy (it's the corporations, not Mexican gardeners, who are responsible for economic meltdown).

Funny thing is that people voting GOP get just as hurt by the corporate greed and awful economic policy. Someone I know had to switch jobs just because his health care was getting so expensive, so he took a crap, low-paying job that at least had health care benefits. And he's a rabid "morals" republican. None of his kids could afford college (the price has gone up 100% under Bush) so they're going to be stuck in the underclass too. They don't see the connection with their votes and their crappy economic prospects.

And that's what the GOP banks on. Course they could all join the military and go fight in the Middle East for Iraq and oil, and get some spotty health care coverage through the VA for a while. Ha!
