Our government is run by capitalists. The president, the vice president, 100 Senators, 435 Representatives, 9 Supreme Court Justices are all capitalists, with possibly one or two exceptions. Thus the power of government is used to enact laws that will protect, encourage and promote capitalism.

In systems where socialists are in control, government is used to promote, protect and encourage socialism.
