Well, I think there is a difference between placing one's hand on one's heart, and thrusting one's arm up, and out in front. The former conjures up feelings of love and affection, while the latter looks like a sign of aggression, and the desire to fight. That is, not very peace loving. I see that arm raised with fist clenched at football games after a big play. I do it myself, and then consider that some young man might have been severely injured on the play. And when one is badly injured, I question my endorsement of the whole thing.
