I have to agree with Jack on this one. I got my bachelors in Geology in the early 80s. Back then the debate was if global cooling would offset global warming and which one would win. Most of us figured that it would be warming.

The big problem you are pointing to isn't that scientists are changing their minds, but that what they already knew is getting more accurate and the body of data is getting bigger. You will note that they are not saying global cooling this year and global warming last year. It has been warming for 20 years, just how bad is changing. Also note it is never getting better, the predictions are pretty much always getting worse.
