Climate models have been consistent for at least 20 yrs. in predicting global warming. It's probably longer than that. I'll check it out and report back. One thing that has been very much underestimated in the models, and in the UN's IPCC report is the positive feedback systems. These include the increased solar heat that's absorbed by ocean waters that were previously covered by ice. That also applies to Lake Superior, where the absence of ice has the lake's temperature now 7 degrees F. higher than the last 120 yr. average. That means even less ice in the winter, and a much lower lake water level. Linked below is a speech given in England just 8 days ago by Prof. James Lovelock.
