freeing us from dependence on Middle East oil. We could have been well on our way to doing so, had Bush's energy policy gone in that direction 7 yrs ago. Even now, he could fully fund research on solar and wave power. If he did, who knows how soon major advancements would be made in those two areas, thus freeing us from our "addiction to oil".
