I know you didn't say that, but in reality, that wouldn't have been accomplished if we hadn't entered the war. It might have taken 50 yrs, if not, as Hitler wanted, a thousand yrs. to throw the NAZIs out. If we were only concerned about our own welfare, we could have built up our defenses, and waited for the maniac to try invading our country. On the other hand, if he forced others to join in that effort, he might have succeeded, and we'd all be speaking German now. Yea. Those others would have included the fanatics from Japan, and Italy. Guess we had no choice other than to take the battle to them, eh?
