If we were only concerned about our own welfare, we could have built up our defenses, and waited for the maniac to try invading our country. On the other hand, if he forced others to join in that effort, he might have succeeded, and we'd all be speaking German now. Yea. Those others would have included the fanatics from Japan, and Italy.

Guess we had no choice other than to take the battle to them, eh?
